Halton Crime Stoppers is hoping a reenactment of a 2007 homicide, filmed in Oakville Wednesday, will finally bring justice for the victim’s family.

Raymond Michael Venerus, 55, was murdered outside his home on Dublin Line in Milton on Feb. 21, 2007.

Police said around 9:50 a.m. on that day, Venerus got into his Jeep Cherokee and drove to the end of his driveway where unknown suspect(s) approached him.

“He was not a man to back down from a confrontation and he stopped his Jeep and got out,” said Det. Const. Paul Proteau, Halton Crime Stoppers Coordinator.
